Over the years, Payam has gained a deep regulatory knowledge related to cryptocurrency, where Payam has represented market-leading players such as international centralised trading platforms, cryptocurrency providers (VASP), decentralised autonomous organisations (DAO) and other companies operating at the interface between regulatory matters and cryptocurrency. In addition, Payam has extensive experience advising regulated organisations, particularly electronic money issuers (EMI) and payment institutions (PI).

Over the years, Payam has established a broad national and international network, extensive professional experience and deep industry knowledge, which form the basis of his legal advice. In addition, Payam has extensive experience with application processes with the Danish FSA, where Payam is also a member of the FSA’s Fintech Forum and working group focusing on blockchain, cryptocurrency and financial regulation regarding the implementation of MiCA. Finally, Payam has extensive experience with tax law issues related to cryptocurrency, where he is the advisor who since 2016 has represented the most clients in cases (+200) against the Danish Tax Agency and conducted the most cases in this area at the Danish Tax Appeals Agency (Skatteankestyrelsen) and the National Tax Tribunal (Landskatteretten).
