Samar Law is seeking an experienced legal assistant or attorney/business lawyer with an interest in business law matters such as corporate and tax law and, potentially, financial regulation.
We are a law firm that specializes in regulatory matters related to cryptocurrency and handles general business law matters for small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly in the startup and tech sectors.
We advise on commercial transactions (venture capital and M&A) and regulatory matters for companies that are, or are applying to become, a crypto-asset service provider (CASP), an electronic money issuer (EMI), or a payment institution (PI). In addition, we advise on tax matters related to cryptocurrency, as well as general tax law, such as taxation in connection with incentive programs and similar matters. We also handle commercial and tax-related litigation.

You’ll have the opportunity to advise some of the most pioneering companies in the field of technological development, with whom you’ll have direct contact. You’ll also have the opportunity to work in an international environment, as several of our clients are based abroad.
We expect you to have a high level of professional expertise, a strong business acumen, and an interest in the interplay between legal and commercial matters. You are a team player who takes ownership of your tasks and works collaboratively with the rest of the firm’s staff to complete them.
Experience in corporate and/or tax law would be an asset, but prior experience with cryptocurrency-related matters is not required. Experience advising clients in English would also be an asset, but your personality and professional qualities are what matter most. We are seeking candidates with both a Master of Laws (LL.M.) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Law.
